Her masterpiece, entitled Expansion, is a beautiful woman seeking inner piece but fractured and bleeding with light.
“From the moment we are born, the world tends to have a container already built for us to fit inside: a social security number, a gender, a race, a profession,” says Bradley. “I ponder if we are more defined by the container we are in than what we are inside. Would we recognize ourselves if we could expand beyond our bodies?”
Her work is full of dichotomies: both the beautiful and the ugly, the liberated and the contained, the falling and the floating. She is always in control of form but not imprisoned by its literally. The subject matter becomes the most important — not narrowly feminist, but rather humanistic betrayals of modern emotion.Expansion by http://paigebradley.com/

Home Sweet Brachiosaurus by Shyama
Beijing-based artist Wang Yuyang’s Artificial Moon may resemble the famous Waterford Crystal Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball, but it’s meant to be a magnificent recreation of Earth’s only moon. Constructed from hundreds of compact fluorescent lightbulbs and at over 13 feet wide, the massive moon even has strategically placed lights to mimic the real moon’s craters and surface features.

GMUNK—Tron Visual Graphics
Recently the motion graphics pioneer Bradley G Munkowitz’s, GMUNK, updated his portfolio with eight case studies for the visual graphics and eye-candy work that he lead for Tron. Each of the projects show multiple renders, behind the scenes elements, and beautiful screenshots of the work.
For the entirety of 2010, munkowitz led a black-ops team of GFX all-stars deep into the darkness at Digital Domain crafting over 12 minutes of holographic content for the feature film Tron
Back in the early 2000s I remember being blown away by GMUNK’s work. In fact his work, along with other up and coming interactive and motion designers, was one of my major influences in perusing design.
Bonus points to anyone who makes an animated GIF of his Mandingo Immortal project. I’m sure it’ll be an instant Tumblr hit.
